about
This murderous tale tells the story of Laura Palmer's homicide; her corpse found wrapped in plastic. The beloved homecoming queen of Twin Peaks was buried on the 24th of February in 1989.
lyrics
Driving through a moonless night
The road is winding, sadness in her eyes
The snow all melts
Blood drips from my head
It doesn’t hurt me Laura...to see you dead
And on the 24th, she’ll be wrapped in plastic
buried in a casket
disgraced, homecoming queen
fire walk with me
a man from another place is coming
to guide him to the Black Lodge
where time and space mean nothing
shadowed by the dark of pine trees
the air is freezing...and my soul is leaving
And on the 24th, she’ll be wrapped in plastic
buried in a casket
disgraced, homecoming queen
fire walk with me
will they ever find me?
guess I’ll never know
when we meet again
it won’t be me. it won’t be me.
it won't be me.

My first instinct is to call this album “objectively beautiful.” The fact is, it’s so masterfully poignant that I’d be comfortable recommending it to anyone, no matter their level of familiarity with horror punk. anathemicanthems
